Spring 2012 Happenings

I love Spring!  Winter is great because it just doesn't get much better than the Christmas season in my opinion, but there is something so fresh and new about the Spring.  The weather gets warm again, the plants blossom and it just seems that hope is in the air... hope and baseball.  :-)

Jayden and Tyler happy to show off their new uniforms.
"On a Roll" (honor roll) assembly.

Plus, Spring brings Easter, a day that in itself is filled with hope and the love.
This year, the Easter bunny brought some fun accessories.  Owen trying on his new shades.
Chase sporting the new goggles and super excited about his bubbles.
 1st Easters are great!
The older boys got some pretty cool new yo-yos.

First taste of a chocolate bunny for this little guy.
 Pretty sure he liked it!
That afternoon we had a nice Easter dinner with our friends, the East family.  Little Miss Harper is just two months older than Owen, and she seemed to enjoy all the food too.  :-)
Jay took some beatings during the Spring.  First his cheek had a run-in with the concrete border to our lawn while playing football in the backyard with a friend.  Then, just as that was healing, he collided with another friend, playing football at school and split his lip.  That was a pretty good wound.  In fact, it left a little scar on his lip, so he will always remember that day at recess.
Of course, we didn't get pictures of the boys in their Easter clothes on Easter, so we had them wear the same thing to church the next week and took pictures in the backyard afterwards.
Mr Owen showing off his tongue.
 Our Chasey bug.
My sweet Tyler boy.  Really, that smile just makes my heart happy.  :-)
And this big guy... well, he's pretty great too.
 Our 4 boys.
We also had a last playgroup at our house before summer vacation.
 Ike.
 Brelee.
 Chase.
 Luke.
Of course, there was plenty of wearing Dad's shoes around the house.
Mom with her boys on Mother's Day.  I am one lucky Mama!
 Chasey rockin the heels.
Not only do I have 4 great boys, but the most amazing husband.  He cooked up this fantastic asparagus and shrimp pasta with homemade bruschetta for a Mother's Day dinner.  It was delicious!
Owen discovered donuts, and they quickly became a favorite.
See what I mean.  "Get in my belly!"  ;-)
