We have a backyard!

A downside to buying a new house is that the backyard is no more than a huge dirt lot when you move in. While the boys loved digging, rolling and burying one another in the dirt, mom wasn't such a fan of the clean-up involved. Well, now we have a real yard...

Complete with grass, rocks, plants and trees.

We even have a gala apple tree and can't wait to enjoy home grown apples.

And here is one of our bouganvillea. Our plants were all shocked by the heat at first, so we were very excited when this one started to bloom after some monsoon rains.

And here's looking toward the patio. We still plan on extending the patio the full length of the house, and we're getting a swingset for the boys delivered sometime in the next week. It's so nice to be able to let the kids outside without having to worry about them or the dirt getting dragged in!
