Are you ready for some football?

After 3 seasons of playing soccer, Jayden decided he wanted to try something new for a year - football. At age eight, he already plaid full contact, with all the pads and helmets that entails.  He was pretty excited at the start of the season.
Here he is proudly showing off his new practice gear.
Number 4 - just like Mom's old soccer number.  ;-)

He was lucky to be on a very good team with great coaches.  Here they are addressing the players after a game.
The highlight of the season was when Jayden's team won a fundraising competition and got selected to play a short game during the halftime of the University of Arizona season opener.  It was pretty amazing to get to watch those boys play their hearts out in that huge stadium and to watch my little guy on the jumbo screen.
Plus, I had great company - a 2 month old Owen and Tyler with his buddy Dax.  Those two kept me constantly entertained with their commentary, which mostly had nothing to do with football. :-)
 There's my boy.

He loved every second in that stadium and under those bright lights.  Plus, they won, which is always an added bonus.

Jayden lining up on the d-line.
The rest of the family was busy exercising that fall too.
Chase was great at helping mom get her squatting form down to shed those baby pounds.  :-)
 Nice form Chasey bugs!
