On July 22nd, 2010 our little Chasey bug turned the big 1! Of course, we took plenty of pictures to document the event.

I know exactly what to do with the cake. :-) Typically, our children do not get a Hostess cupcake for their Birthday cake, but Mom was working that year and had a business trip the day before and didn't get home until the evening of his Birthday, so it was picked up last minute on the way home from the airport. Chase didn't seem to mind.

The next day we headed to Chuck E Cheese as a family to properly celebrate our little guy.

The first year of Chasey's life was filled with so many amazing memories. Chase was my easiest baby. He slept through the night the earliest and just had a very easy going disposition. He rarely cried, smiled a lot, and just took in his surroundings with innocent curiosity. He lived to make us all laugh from the time he could crawl and sit. He would sit in his high chair and make all sorts of funny faces so that dinner time became more like the Chase Nelson comedy hour than a time to eat for Jayden and Tyler. We all just loved that boy and couldn't get enough of everything about him. I'm so grateful that he is a part of our family. We love you Chasey bugs!
